A text in it saying the cover shows the grave of Sandro B murdered by Horde Absurd on 29493 AB. I don't even want to talk about these guys anymore. They just fucking I fucking hate NSBM.

SPEAKER_04Which was very lovely, and actually reignited my love for Cradle of Filth. They've been one of my favorite bands for a long time, and they've ever since meeting you, they it's been reignited. Anyways, uh something that a lot of people don't seem to talk about is uh how Cradle Filth got arrested in the Vatican. It was November 1980, 1998. They were at the Vatican getting ready for a show in Rome. I think this is something to do with the Cruelty and the Beast tour, because that's their 1998 album. Really good album. That's my favorite cradle album. Um the reason why they were arrested was probably the most logical way, is because uh blasphemy law is very prevalent in the Vatican. Uh they were sworn by armed guards, right? Demand of passports, and it was like due to uh obscenity. Cradle filth are always known for like very shocking t-shirts, like like the one you're wearing in the one I'm wearing right now. Yeah. And also, but the ones in the 90s, the the best looking ones I have.
SPEAKER_03God, their shirts are so good. Worm takes a lot of inspiration from Cradle of Filter. Oh, yeah. They're touring together right now. Yeah, they're touring right now. I'm wearing a worm shirt right now. I know. That's very heavily inspired by a Cradle of Filth.

SPEAKER_04The real reason why they were arrested is because at this time in the lineup they had a keyboard just named Lecter, whose uh shtick was that he would dress up as a priest. Oh, and and in Italy, I don't know if it's Italy or the Vatican, but that is highly illegal, like impersonating a priest.

SPEAKER_04Yeah. I was just gonna see that. That's a Catholic priest. And um they were arrested for like an hour. No, actually, they were not arrested. They were detained and threatened with being arrested. But they were released to make their appointment, appointment, their concert.
SPEAKER_02Wow. I mean, honestly, though. Yeah, but it's I get it. The fact that they let 'em go, though, I mean, that's I mean, I will say that I've always wanted to go to that again.

Blasphemy are a black death metal band formed in 1984 under the name Antichrist, and later in 1987 as Blasphemy. They are uh considered to be the first and the pioneers of a genre called War Metal, which is a chaotic mixture of subgenre of black metal. Absolutely, which seems to be like a mixture, a chaotic mixture of black metal, death metal, and grindcore. So pretty much like black black and death metal.
SPEAKER_03You want to know what it sounds like? Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_04The singer can't even the singer can't even enunciate the words on stage.

SPEAKER_04The oftentimes with satanic anti-Christian lyrics and imagery influenced by bands like Sarcophago and Holocaust, everything like that. Uh the band is famous for the members having really intricate pseudonyms like Caller of the Storms or my favorite Nocturnal Grave Desecrator and Blackwinds. That's an entire name.

Um blasphemy members have been to prison multiple times for drug smug drug smuggling and dealing. One of them actually tried sneaking their girlfriend on a flight once.

SPEAKER_04Um, assaulting police officers is another one. And actually, fun fact, unfortunate for us, but blasphemy are a band from the United States. So you'll never see him playing in like what New York or Kansas City or something like that.

SPEAKER_03Alright, Grimm from Gorgoroth. Eric Grimm Rodres Gift, born Decem December 23rd, 1969 in Bergen, Norway, was a black metal drummer known for his work in the band Gorgoroth. He was an extremely influential figurehead in black metal, especially in the Norwegian scene's formative years. As a teen, he played in Death and Thrash band Hell Awaits, and then joined Emperor Emfor in 1989 for a demo. He joined Gorgoroth in 1995 and played drums in Under the Sign of Hell and The Last Tormentor, a 1996 live album. He also toured twice with Immortal and was and he was on the pure Holocaust cover, even though he did not play drums on that album.

SPEAKER_03He committed suicide on October 9th, 1999 via drug overdose at only 29 years old, an immense loss for many in the black metal scene. Um and I'm gonna pass it over to Vitus to talk about the guy who decapitated his girlfriend.

SPEAKER_03However, we could just keep it brief.

But he lived alone in like an apartment in Germany, and apparently like he got into this I think people described him to be like an abuser.
SPEAKER_03Well, he's in black metal, so who's really surprised?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like uh there probably has to be like some other sexual type things, and obviously there gotta be a twinge of uh misogyny in there too. Oh well duh. Absolutely. But one night he I think he accused his girlfriend of cheating on him. She came to the apartment and he absolutely butchered her. She decapitated her, yeah.
SPEAKER_03He posted it onto like Gore forum too.
SPEAKER_04And actually he reached out to him.
SPEAKER_03And then it got traced back to him.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and like the admin of the fucking Gore website reached out to him, he was like, dude, you can't post this. This is a fucking crime.
SPEAKER_03And he's like, dude, is this like real? Did you just make this? And and then he was like, No.
SPEAKER_04He got arrested.
SPEAKER_03He got arrested because he's a fucking moron.

SPEAKER_03Uh he was a Polish black metal musician and an and a member of Graveland, who we talked about earlier. Um, also of the founder of the band Infernum. He was a prolific part of Poland's early black metal scene and a far-right political figure, a Nazi. Um he played in Graveland, an NS a notorious NSBM band from Poland, which is so fucking weird because you're Nazis, but you're from Poland. Are you aware that you guys were the first to go? Are you aware that you're very likely Jewish if you're from Poland?
SPEAKER_04September 1st, 1939.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like are you aware that you're probably a Jew if you're from Poland because it's a Semitic place? Right, okay, whatever. I'm not gonna get into that right now, but um uh he struggled with schizophrenia, severe schizophrenia, which was destroying him, quote unquote, along with his other mental issues, which was a quote from another member. Um the attempt on Fenris' life was over a small slight, a quote unquote stolen CD that the two traded. He claimed to have never received Fenris's half of the trade. So as one does, he armed himself with axes, knives, and chains, bought a one-way ferry ticket to Sweden, where he was stopped by customs and arrested and put deported back to Poland because he was so batshit they didn't know what to do with him. And they didn't want him in Swedish prisons. Um the authorities started spreading rumors of quote unquote Polish Satanists coming to Scandinavia to burn churches. Does that sound familiar? Um that's crazy. He got more and more irrational and erratic over the years following this incident and ultimately killed himself in 2004 by jumping from a building in his hometown of Roklaw, Poland. I actually have a off topic uh I have an OC that's from Roklaw, so I thought that was kind of weird coincidence. I'm gonna pass it over to Vitus to talk about Valfar of Windyr. Valfar! I love Windir.

SPEAKER_03He was trying to hike back to his family's cabin in a in a blizzard and he died of hypothermia. He wasn't found until like a couple weeks later.
SPEAKER_04Three days later. Three days later.
SPEAKER_03Oh, three days, okay. So he was dead at the time.
SPEAKER_04He got stuck in a snowstorm and died of hypothermia.

SPEAKER_03So Bard Bard Goldvig Ethan or Faust is a Norwegian musician born April 21st, 1974, and he was the ex-drummer of black metal band Emperor. He was a member of Euronymus's Black Circle where everything was a dick measuring contest. So on August 21st, 1992, while visiting family in Lillehammer, he stabbed Magnus Andresen to death. Allegedly, while walking home from a pub through Olympic Park, a well-known gay cruising spot, by the way, Andresen drunklies drunkenly solicited Faust for sex, which he agreed to, following him, then stabbing him 37 times, kicking him in the head multiple times as well. He almost got away with it too. But after Varg Vikernes killed Euronymus, he was arrested and confessed. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Fourteen in 1993, but was let out for good behavior in 2003. Since this he has tried to improve as a person and amidst allegations of racism and homophobia, Gaul of Gorgorov, who is openly gay, stated that Faust was the first person to support him after coming out. The murder was on impulse, he admitted. But he has tried to grow as a person since then as a and has extre expressed extreme remorse and thankfulness that he was removed from the black metal environment since he felt it was leading him down a destructive path. I do believe that he was solicited and assaulted. Yeah. I do believe it.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah, because like I don't think like anyone would just like outright just murdered.
SPEAKER_03But I also believe that there was a chance that like he could have just done it for the dick measuring contest. Everything was a contest back then.
SPEAKER_04Because I think maybe like he was maybe like if he wasn't soliciting.
SPEAKER_03He was also a kid though.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like being assaulted, maybe he could think, oh, maybe if if I do this, it can also give me some brownie points, I guess. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. That makes sense. But at the same time, like I do believe that he was potentially assaulted.
SPEAKER_04He could have been, you know, because Magnus was a way older gentleman and oh yeah, he was way old. And how old was Faust? Like what, like 19?

SPEAKER_03So I he did kill him. He did kill him. I'm not defending him at all, but I want I want like it is a very nuanced situation. But I definitely think that we should take into account that he was in a very bad crowd. He was a teenager, and he very well could have been assaulted by this vi way older man. See, and what uh some people don't realize, like, um But at the same time a lot of homophobia was extremely prevalent back then in Norway and it still is. Um, and like he could have just said that he was assaulted and everybody believed him because everybody believed that gay men were sex offenders back then.

SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. I mean, I wasn't in Norway, but yeah, no, I Yeah, you didn't have to be. Yeah, but that that was a big thing that people would say. And I mean it was people still say it.

SPEAKER_03I mean, even like homophobic people that I've met and like talked to about it and like try to understand their perspective, they don't really give a fuck about lesbians.

SPEAKER_02I think what it is is because women are perceived as the fairer or weaker sex.
SPEAKER_03And so maybe they're not um I think it's also like how lesbians are were a majority of nurses back then who were dealing with the AIDS crisis, which is why L is first in LGBT because it used to be GBLT. But after the AIDS crisis, it was switched to LGBT because of how helpful lesbians were during the AIDS crisis.
SPEAKER_02I had no idea.
SPEAKER_03And like how like they were the main people who took care of people back then. Wow, that's it was crazy. Lesbians have always been extremely integral to the queer community. So what that's why the L is first. That's cool. Which is why I get so happy when I see like elder trans people. Because it's like, oh my gosh, we have a chance, you know.
SPEAKER_02They've overcome so much, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And it's like you're so authentic to yourself, and it's just it's so beautiful.

SPEAKER_03Are you guys do you have more or um any final thoughts or comments or no, but I I will say that I think that um Faust's efforts to become a better person, I do definitely think that it's gonna be a long ass time before he's like paid his r retributions, I guess.

In the guy after our sun, um, the ancient cultures called Sirius the spiritual sun because they believe it brought wisdom and light. Um, and it is called the Lion's Gate simply because it happens during Leo season, the sign of the lion. Now, for numerology, eight in is the infinity symbol, but it's also the symbol for abundance. So um in numerology, the eight uh number eight represents abundance, endless energy, and personal power. So the peak is August 8th. It happens every year, you know, and um it's when the energetic gate is open. So it's basically like um it's like a new year.

And so, like when it's not talking about like, you know, when you when you manifest, you know, when you're setting your intentions, you know, it it's like you want to make sure that you're doing those in like a clean space, you know. So especially if you're wanting abundance. Well, if you want to attract abundance, you you don't want to attract abundance to a messy space. Clear out that old stagnant energy, bring in that new energy, you know.
SPEAKER_03So this morning when I got up, that's why I swept all the stuff from the back to the front, out the doors, and um, you know, I wanted to make sure that I I'm definitely gonna do like a ritual to cleanse my vehicular luck.
