When you hear people mention Satanists, you probably imagine hooded figures, black candles, and sacrifices right? Well, what if I told you the fastest-growing satanic group in America is actually a bunch of atheist, politically active, sarcastic people who probably care more about human rights and separation of church and state than your local politician? Have a listen as we unpack the history and beliefs of the Satanic Temple. You might be surprised. I know I was.
I'm Vera.
SPEAKER_00I'm Mia. And we are.
SPEAKER_01Whoa. Spectral homicide. And man, that music was killing it in the entrance. It's funny because it's called Death. It's called Death. Maybe it's because they don't feel pain.
SPEAKER_00No, it's because they're the first Death Metal band.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Okay, do your do your album. Do your album. Do your album.
SPEAKER_00Alright, album of the day is Leprosy by Death. Now for the history, Death was born in Altamonte Springs, Florida in 1983 with the name Mantis, changing their permanent name to Death in 1984. The one consistent Oh my god, that was so rude. I'm sorry. The one consistent member in all death's discography is Chuck Scholdner. Death is considered the first death metal band. Possessed coined the term, but they were a thrash and speed metal band during that time. Charles Michael Scholdner was born May 13th, 1967, in Glen Cave, New York. Glen Cove, sorry, holy shit. It's my handwriting, it's not my vision. Um when Chuck was nine years old, his 16-year-old brother died and he started playing guitar as his parents thought it would help him to grieve. Another f uh not that wasn't a fun fact, but a fun fact is he was left-handed but he played the guitar right-handed. His inspirations in the early days were Kiss, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, and others, including Francis Sordelage, which is his favorite metal group. He was outwardly against the Edgelord bands who were giving Death Metal a bad name by harming animals and spoke out against the stereotypes about metalheads being violent and anti-life. He was described by his peers as hating gore, loving cats, being a philosopher, a perfectionist with the consistently changing lineup, and overall a quiet and gentle person. He often mentioned his Vinny Pets on his albums, thank you notes. Um on May 13, 1999, on his 32nd birthday, he was diagnosed with pontine glioma. Um holy shit, I just forgot a fact about the band. It was a Venom worship. Sorry. He was diagnosed with Pontine Glioma, a type of brain cancer that is extremely malignant and affects the brain stem. The metal community banded together to help save his life by raising the funds for his surgeries. The surgeries were successful, but the cancer returned in May 2001. He was denied surgery at first due to lack of funds. Many famous bands and musicians such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kid Rock, Corin, and Trivium, held auctions, benefit shows, stuff like that to help fund his treatment. When he started Jesus Christ, I can't Whatever that says. To help with his chemo, he fell ill with pneumonia due to the harshness of the side effects. On December 13, 2001, Chuck succumbed to his pneumonia and passed away. Artists such as Mike Patton, Dine Bagdaryl, Glenn Benton, King Diamond, Villevallo, Trey Aska's What? Azatoth? I know who that is. I just can't I can't read. Max Cavallera and all former and active members of Death attended his funeral service. He was cremated. His death split up upon his passing. In 2012, former members got together and formed cover bands such as Death to All and Love to Die. Chuck's family has supported these efforts as they help maintain his legacy. Leprosy was released in 1988 on August 12th. It is also one of their most loved releases.
SPEAKER_01Hmm, nice.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01So our episode today is going to be about Anton LeBay. Um this is mainly Mia's episode. I just annotated the satanic Bible and I didn't want to read. I gotta be honest, that was fucking comical. Because, you know, I'm always reading at night, and uh Chris looks over. Chris is my husband, by the way, and he looks over and he sees me reading the satanic Bible, and he it was immediately concerned. He said, uh, what are you what are you reading, babe? And I was like, Oh, it's the satanic Bible, and he's looking at me like you can only have one freak in the house.
SPEAKER_00It's too much for him.
SPEAKER_01I told him, I said, it's her, it's her research. I said, I'm not converting or anything. I said, I'm just researching. I said, I gotta annotate it for our show.
SPEAKER_00It's an atheistic religion, anyways. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Well, I think we'll we'll get into that later and everything, but I'll let you go ahead and um so Mia really wanted to do this episode, and um I was like, alright, cool, I'm down, you know, because I don't know anything about him.
SPEAKER_00I just I didn't like him already before I did all my research, just I thought he was a poser, but um, I really don't want to say too much about my personal opinion on him because his you know, his son, I think, and his grandson are alive, you know. Um but you know what? No, fuck that. This is my podcast. Um I'm gonna say what I want. This is nothing towards his like descendants or his family or anything like that. I just don't like him. And you did the research, so you know why. Oh yeah, I did the research. Let's hear it, bitch. Alright, Anton Cesander LeVay was born Howard Stanton LeVay on April 11th, 1930, in Chicago. He was the founder of the Church of Satan and the one who created LeVayan Satanism. He was a very musical child, and these efforts were supported by his parents. His favorite instruments were keyboard instruments like the accordion and the piano. Accordion. Wow. The accordion. As a child, he played oboe and piano at a Baptist church. That's ironic. Um at age 16 he left uh school to join the Clyde Beattie Circus and assorted carnivals. He was a rough roustabel and a cage boy with big cat axe and then a Calliope player. Allegedly, because there's apparently no evidence of this. Because he's low-key a pathological liar. Um, he worked as an organist for bars in the late 40s and claimed to have had an affair with Marilyn Monroe. Yeah, like I said, he's a fucking liar. Um, and said that she used to be a burlesque dancer at the Mine Theatre. Oh my god. I'm sorry, lock-in. Um, the manager called him out as it was never a burlesque house and she never worked there. Cause he's a fucking liar. Um, he married Carol LeVay. Uh sorry, holy shit. Carol Lansing in 1951 and had his first child, Carlo Levey, with Lansing in 1952. He became a photographer for the San Francisco Police Department to dodge the Korean war draft, because of course he did. Of course he's a draft dodger. Um, but that might that might also be a lie because he was a liar. LeVay and Lansing divorced in 1960. I almost wrote 1860 on the script. That's so funny. Yeah. Uh when he became involved with Diane Hegerty, I think an affair. They never married, but Hegerty mothered his second child named Zina Galatea Shrek LeVay. And holy shit, her last name's Shrek. Um, in 1963. Fun fact, Zina LeVay looks really similar to Taylor Swift, and it actually kind of freaks me out. Look it up, Mom. Okay, I will, I will. Zina LeVay. Um Zina LeVay. They remained companions for 24 years. Haggerty sued for Palomony when they broke up. LeVay became a local celebrity in San Francisco from his organist performances. Yeah, I know, right? She does. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It freaks me out. I mean, not in all of her pictures, but when she goes blonde, yeah. She Oh, I didn't know she wasn't blonde. Yeah, she's a natural brunette. Oh, she is so hot. I'm sorry. But like, look, there she is. There it is.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I mean, not Especially when she was young.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Dude, she looked ex- Taylor Swift looks exactly like Z. It's fucking sorry, excuse me. Um, from his performances, uh, paranormal research, driving a coroner's van around town, and walking his pet black leopard, Zultan, around town. In 1965, he got a fucking pet lion named Togar.
SPEAKER_01He wasn't lying about that.
SPEAKER_00Honestly, I can't even hate on that. I'm sorry. I can't even hate on for on him for that, because if I had the opportunity, hell yeah. I think my last words are gonna be kitty kitty, kitty kitty, kitty kitty. I mean, look, I mean that's that's okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean I get it. I get it. Um, pretty quickly his pet lion named Togare, I think that's how it's pronounced, was given to the San Francisco Zoo, but garnered him a lot of attention because why the fuck wouldn't it? Um, he would throw super cool parties where a lot of famous people would attend, um, which formed the Order of the Trapezoid, which eventually became the governing body for the Church of Satan. The Church of Satan was founded in 1966 when LeVay shaved his head to honor the tradition of ancient executioners, his own words. 1966 was named the Year Year One Anosatanus, Year One of the Age of Satan. In 1980, the FBI interviewed LeVay on suspicion and connection with a plot to murder Ted Kennedy. LeVay basically said he was doing it for money, and all the members were freaky weirdos. Why not? Um, in July 1984, Hagerty ma filed a restraining order on LeVay. His third and final child was born Satan Xerzi's Carnic Carnegie Levee, which is a fucking awesome name.
SPEAKER_01So basically the Ted Kennedy thing, he did it for the fans. Yeah. He just did it for attention. I just looked it up too, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh Satan Xerzi's Carnegie Levet is almost as cool as Ronan Walker Cobain Hawk. By the way, uh Tony Hawk and Kurt Cobain's daughter have a kid. That's fucking wild to me. Their kid's name? Ronan Walker Cobain Hawk. Co Tony Hawk's son. Sorry, not Tony Hawk himself. That would be really fucking weird. Can you imagine your grandpa being Kurt Cobain? Can you imagine? Your grandparents are Kurt Cobain, Tony Hawk, and Courtney Love. Are you serious? That is the white baby. Like, that is I I think that as I think that white people have peaked with that kid being born. Like that. Like, we're not gonna get any cooler. Or like, we're not. It's just a fact. Um sorry, Satan Xerzies Carnegie Levee on November 1st, 1993. Um Mothered by LeVay's final partner, Blanche Barton, which is an awesome name. Um Barton, after LeVay's death on October 29th, 1997, via pulmonar pulmonar holy shit, pulmonary edema succeeded LeVay as the head of the Church of Satan. She stepped down with Magus Peter H. Gilmore succeeding her. LeVay was cremated at a Catholic hospital. That's fucking funny. Um and a private invitation-only funeral was held in coma? Whatever that says. LeVayan Satanism is an atheistic form of Satanism that is way more philosophy-based. Satan is not an entity but a representation of human carnality, pride, and sense of self. Very anti-Abrahamic religions due to their principles of suppressing the human urges of pride and carnality. Which I can get behind that. Like, I'm not a fan of Abrahamic religions at all. Um, it's based, as you've known, from my album of the day where I talked about Burism. Um it's based on individualism, egoism, social Darwinism, anti-egalitarianism. Um, human humans equal animals in an amoral universe. It was known more for aesthetics. It is considered a new religious movement, part of Western Western esotericism. Which I can get behind that. Like the Church of Satan itself, absolutely I can get behind that. Anton LeVay, though. Mm-mm. I don't like him. I really don't.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay, well, there we go.
SPEAKER_00Um, he was very often contradictory to his own beliefs. He hated rock and metal even when the lyrics were related to Satanism and occultism. He was a conspiracy theorist in his older age, which honestly same. And apparently he was politically conservative somehow. Um like, you're all about like expression and like not like anti-suppression and oppression, like, but you're conservative?
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
SPEAKER_00Right, okay, whatever. Um, he was very elitist and he believed like very heavily in social Darwinism, basically in inequality, survival of the fitness. He was also a eugenicist. Survival of the fitness. Yeah. He's getting swole without no soul. Um, so which is common with a lot of um social Darwinists, uh, he was a eugenicist. Because of course he was, why not, you know? Um, he was also closely involved with a neo-Nazi James H. Mad. Fuck, I spelled that wrong. Um, and liked the idea of entwining fascism into the church, because that doesn't contradict the free will at all, right? No. Not at all. Um, the connection forming between because of Medol's opposition to Christianity and Abrahamic religions. Um and uh Nietzsche, uh whatever. I fucking don't know how to pronounce his name. I've never known how to pronounce his name. The uh Nietzsche.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. Yeah, I don't know either.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's that's a bullshit name.
SPEAKER_01Um wait, and so hang on. So how is he uh that philosopher? Nietzsche. Um how is he relevant to this again?
SPEAKER_00I'm sorry, I missed it. I forgot. Okay. Oh, no, it's because they believe that altruism is destructive and helping the weak is slave morality. Because that doesn't go against the commandments at all, by the way. I don't even understand what that means, so it's okay. Basically, helping the weak makes you weak. Just makes you know better. I'm honestly confused. Anyways, code, code, code. Very survival of the fittest. Okay. Um, the conven commandments and values, Satan being purely symbolic, but LeVay didn't elaborate despite his open atheism, as he didn't want to drive away the theistic mep Satanists as members. Because he had no fucking beliefs. He didn't stand for anything. Oh, I hate this guy. I'm sorry. No, it's okay. He embraced ideologies such as communism and socialism. See that that makes me fucking mad. Because the very idea of the Church of Satan is founded on socialist and communist ideals. Like, and anti-Abrahamic religions, right? And and Abrahamic religions are all about control and like limiting Oh my god. And yeah, he entwines communism and socialism into the very fabric of the church and the values that the church upholds, and yet he's conservative. Hence me calling him opposer.
SPEAKER_01I hate this guy. I can see that, like, um how how he contradicts himself a lot, just listening to some of the things that you're saying.
SPEAKER_00Working with an open fascist and trying to entwine fascism into the Church of Satan that goes against everything that it was founded upon. Which makes a lot of sense considering he basically told the FBI, yeah, I'm literally doing this for money. Like, my followers are freaky weirdos. You know? And like I'm sorry, I'm very opinionated, and y'all are gonna learn this today, if you didn't already know. Um I hate this guy. I hate hypocrites. Um despite being a more right wing and anarchism of the right by wait, hold on. Sorry, I started reading at the wrong time. He embraced ideal not him. Obviously not him. The Church of Satan embraced ideologies such as communism and socialism, despite being defined as more right wing and anarchism of the right by observers and historians. They made those observations in the 50s, by the way. Wasn't that before the party switch? I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um interesting. The 11 satanic rules of the earth. Do you want me to do this? Is that in the book? Yeah, it's in the book. Okay, I'll let you do that. Okay. Um, the 11 Satanic rules of the earth, I can get behind them. Like they're actually really good, you know? Like they're perfect. Is that what the keys are? Keys.
SPEAKER_01Okay, never mind.
SPEAKER_00What are you talking about? What are you on about?
SPEAKER_01No, no, it's in there.
SPEAKER_00So, um, I haven't read it.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00She's gonna take over. I'm gonna go potty.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so, um, so this is from the Satanic Bible, and honestly, so I I didn't know a lot about Anton LeVay. I didn't know anything about him actually.
SPEAKER_00Oh wait, you remember when we were at the Graveface Museum and the the employee told us how he met the grandson and he looked exactly like him and it freaked him out. I uh well actually I He turned around and he went, Oh shit, is that Anton LeVay?
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's so funny.
SPEAKER_00And he had like a cape on and s and shit. I actually didn't even know that he said that because I was like I it stuck with me because I was like, that's so cool.
SPEAKER_01Well, I had the headphones in and I was listening to the ghost the ghost radio. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00The uh the reason I remember that because is because I was like, man, I hope his grandsons are cooler than him. You know. I mean, his son is alre son, daughter, whatever, th his kid is already way cooler than him. His name is the name is fucking Satan Cersei's Carnegie LeBay. Come on. Sorry, I'm gonna go plotting now.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so um when I was reading through this, so I didn't hear anything about him personally, but um, you know, they you know, he was called the black pope by many of his followers, probably because, you know, satanic, you know, blah blah blah, everything else, and so obviously the opposites of the opposite of like the light religion, you know, Christianity and stuff like that, you know, Jesus being the light of the world, you know, they say Satan is the darkness. So that's probably where that came from. Um but the reason why he formed the satanic church is because he was so anti-hypocrisy, which is completely ironic based on what I'm learning from Mia. So um when he was 16 years old, he would be um working at this carnival playing the organ for like the little naked ladies that danced, and on Saturday nights, and this is this is what this is a direct quote from his book, on Saturday night I would see men lusting after half-naked girls dancing at the carnival. And on Sunday morning when I was playing the organ for the tent show at the evangelists at the other end of the carnival lot, I would see these same men sitting in the pews with their wives and children, asking God to forgive them and purge them of their carnal desires. And the next Saturday night they'd be back at the carnival with or some other place of indulgence. So then what that so that's why he decided he was gonna go for the Church of Satan and start he like started to do that because he honestly just hated hypocrites, or so he said, Oh, right, right am I that he's proven to be one. So, um, anyways, like we're going on and on, and so I did look into the thing that it said about Marilyn Monroe and stuff, because it actually says it peaceful in the well, so yeah, so it says it in his book, um said had a brief affair with the then unknown Marilyn Monroe after accompanying her chain-dragging strip tease at the Mayan Burlesque Theater. So as it may, you know, there's there's no confirmed, you know, thing saying he ever dated Marilyn Monroe. Um he said fucked. So, yeah, oh, he said fucked. So here's the deal. So she actually was um she wasn't a burlesque dancer, she was like one of those can can girls. Yeah, that is absolutely not it's not a burlesque thing. Um but there was a burlesque dancer name, Dixie Evans, who was known as the Marilyn Monroe of Burlesque. Um, I'm sure. So she had created a act based on the persona of Marilyn Monroe. So that's probably so it's technically not a lie. Technically it's even a lie. Oh, I hate this man. But no. Um so it's but it says that they're uh that these are fabricated and um yeah, and it's confirmed that they're fabricated by historians and some of the members of his church.
SPEAKER_00So even his members are saying that's full of shit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they he was he was pretty much full of shit. So um his big thing, the reason so he basically said that um Satan was never he he goes off defending Satan, and he's like, you know, how could you sit there and say all these things about Satan when he's never had a chance to defend himself, you know. Um, and so it's like I get it. Yeah, I get it. Um of course. And he talks about like the different, you know, things about it. But when we get into the the nine the nine satanic statements, uh Satan represents represents indulgence instead of abstinence, he represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams. Um unfielded wisdom instead of hypocrisy. Hypocritical self-deceit. Um, kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates. He sounds a little angry there. No, because like I get it. Yeah, no. I mean, look, I when I was reading this, I could see how he would feel this way in this book. Now, am I gonna embrace it? No.
SPEAKER_00Do I hate him? Was he ri Yes? Was he real as fuck sometimes?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Now, Ed, but the thing is, like, it represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek. So he's just like, he's like, bitch, get revenge on these people. He said, go fuck this shit a club. He is not like a let it go Elsa kind of person.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, of course not.
SPEAKER_01No, so um that's like it says responsibly to the responsible instead of concern for the psychic vampires. I'm not really sure what that means. People who basically drain you by being around them. Uh, I could see that. I know a lot of people like that. Oh yeah, you do. Um so, anyways, he said He said, Satan represents all the so-called sins as they are led to physical, mental, or emotional gratification. Um he said, now this part I found kind of funny, and I kind of had a chuckle on this. It was a funny one because it said Satan has been the best friend the church has ever had, as he has kept it in business for all these years.
SPEAKER_00But he's not wrong.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry, guys. Um, I I laughed on that part because it's like I mean, he's not wrong. Yeah, especially mega churches. Oh, yeah. Oh, I hate mega churches, yeah. Like Joel Alstein, who like you know, I'm so Christian and I have this beautiful megachurch. No, I realize that your entire city is flooding, but you can't stay with us! So organized religion is one of those things that is kind of a sore subject with a lot of people, and I completely understand why. Um I don't really like organized religion at all. I mean, I I love the traditions of the Catholic religion, and and honestly, like when when I would pr say my prayers and get into that really deep spot, it's like I could almost feel like I was floating, you know. I love, love, love, I love praying, I love meditating, I love, you know, the relationship that I have with Christ. Yeah, you know, for me it's all about building a relationship with Christ, not a church.
SPEAKER_00Now that's what it's all about.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I do think that churches can be great.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like a sense of community, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely, absolutely. And and I think that um that it's important that people, you know, embrace those things. But when you have organized religions, e as as you know, and this guy too.
SPEAKER_00The problem comes when people start to make it sound like organized religion is the only way you can have community.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's true. Or when they use it as a license to, you know, judge people or you know, wag their finger or whatever, and it's like that's not your job, dude.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because like if you're doing all that and you claim to be a Christian, you're just flapping your gums at that point.
SPEAKER_01I mean, we're supposed to love one another. So, I mean, um I was going through this, you know, and he's talking about like, you know, different I I mean, I gotta be honest, I'm not gonna read a ton of this. There's just a lot. There's I I tab some things like we're talking about, you know, on page 30 and 31, there's the book of Satan, and there's like 11 things on one page and 11 things on the other. Um, it's basically the commandments of their thing. Commandments written down, I could do that. Yeah, it's just a lot. It's just it's just honest.
SPEAKER_00You read the Bible. Well, you read the Christian Bible.
SPEAKER_01I did this one. Well, I mean, I did read this one and I annotated. I'm just not gonna read it on the air. I'm just there, it's a lot, guys. It's a lot. They have their own beliefs, and to be quite honest, it's not like a bad thing. So the Church of Satan, I don't think, is the Libyan Church of Satan at least. Okay, so here's the deal there was all this satanic panic going around.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and you lived through that whole children.
SPEAKER_01I yeah, I did, I did, you know, and it's like, and even I was terrified of like Satanists. I was like, oh my god, there's Satanists. Like, I remember hearing when I was a kid that if you played heavy metal backwards. Oh, you would have thought I was a Satanist. Oh my god, no.
SPEAKER_00You thought I was for a while.
SPEAKER_01I did, I did. But like, so here's the thing. Like, but I mean, I wasn't, but did I treat you any differently? No. No. I did not give a fuck.
SPEAKER_00You were just like, are you a Satanist? And I was like, no.
SPEAKER_01I accept everybody. It's not my it's not my place to tell people what they need to believe.
SPEAKER_00Religiously, technically, I would be a Satanistic pagan.
SPEAKER_01And and you know, I mean, honestly, as long as you're not a shit person, I really don't care. Because Satanism is all about being a good person. And and that's the thing. It's like you're going through this right, and it's all about believing that you know people should be allowed to indulge their carnal desires.
SPEAKER_00No, it isn't like, which isn't like, oh, I need to fuck everything right now. It's just like you shouldn't be shamed for things.
SPEAKER_01That's exactly it. They're they're they're like, accept each other as they are, don't fucking like. Don't be a cunt. You exactly. Don't be a cunt. Except Anton Le was a massive cunt. I mean, I based on what you said, yeah. So here's the deal. Alright. So they say if you're gonna have an affair, you're gonna have an affair, but don't be a douche about it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know.
SPEAKER_00Which is now affairs are douchey in general. Affairs are douchey in general, but they don't believe in having like the reason that affairs are viewed as such a big thing is because of Abrahamic religions and because like that sense of ownership, you know.
SPEAKER_01Well, to be quite honest, you know, mankind are the only ones that believe in monogamy anyway. The animal kingdom doesn't do that. Everybody says that penguins mate for life, but they be fucking. Yeah, uh they be fucking. Dolphins, oh my god, ew. Oh, they're so bad. Oh, I hate that. But all I'm saying is, like, they here's the deal. They say, like, if you're gonna have an origin, make sure that everybody is like consenting. Consenting. That's it. If you're gonna do something, make sure it's consensual.
SPEAKER_00You know, basically the entire thing.
SPEAKER_01And they are completely against people going after minors. Yeah, they are. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Which is why it bugs me when everybody talks about the Jepstein Isles, um, and they're calling everybody Satanists. Hey, uh-uh. All those people are in Abrahamic religions. I hate to break it to you, but like, look. Everybody in those files. Not Satanists. You won't catch a single Satanist in there.
SPEAKER_01I know what else you're not gonna find in there? Trans people! I you're right. There are I don't think there are any Satanists in there. And to love one another, as it has been said, to is the supreme law, but what made that power what power made that so? Upon what rational authority does the gospel of love rest? Why should I not hate mine enemies if I love them? Does that not place me at their mercy? Dude, I totally get that.
SPEAKER_00He was real as fuck sometimes. However, I gotta be honest, like I don't love my enemies. Okay, I don't that there's a I believe in Satanism as more of a like philosophy, you know, because that's exactly what the church does say that. That is pretty much just a philosophy. I believe in it, so I guess I could be called a Satanist.
SPEAKER_01I'm not sure. Um, so like for me, I I am religious. So not like a preacher though, because like I'm not gonna do that. That's embarrassing. Well, here's the deal. Um, I worship nature, that's it. I don't invest enough energy in my enemies. And that's pretty much like I don't I don't give them that thing where I hate them. I don't hate anybody. I mean, for Christ. I forgive people for what they do to me because guess what? I'm just not gonna give anybody that power over me. Now, here's the deal. What it does say is it says that um, you know, it says, love your enemies and do good to them that hate and do good to them that hate and use you. It is not decipherable, not despicable philosophy of the spaniel rules of what, what, what. Some of the shit he said, I'm like, what the fuck are you talking about? What do you say? Like, honestly, that's what it is. He'll just sit there and it's like, dude, what did you do? Like, like, I I don't understand.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it was the 60s. There was oh my god, cocaine is a hell of a drug.
